The film was a great experience for me. It was an experience to hear her story in her own words, as well as the words of those closest to her. The documentary made me realize that I did not know everything about her. It was amazing to hear the stories told from other people’s perspectives. It was a great way to shed light on issues such as substance abuse and anorexia and show that everyone can struggle, despite how it appears. I also appreciated that the second half focused on Demi trying to better her life while still letting it be known that some of these issues will remain a constant struggle.
